In 2009, Stoltenberg Consulting created a major scholarship program in coordination with the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME). Stoltenberg was the first ever company to establish an ongoing scholarship for the CHIME Education Foundation.
The Stoltenberg Future Fund awards scholarships annually through the CHIME Education Foundation for recipient use at any of CHIME's events, including the Healthcare CIO Boot Camp, CISO Boot Camp, Clinical Informatics Boot Camp, Fall CIO Forum and ViVE Conference, or toward formal secondary education tuition and related expenses. Applicants must be CHIME members and demonstrate a need for funding.
Each year, the scholarship facilitates CIO exposure to peer networking, certification opportunities, industry regulatory updates, vendor best practices and innovative ideas to propel hospitals' digital health advancement. Often otherwise unable to attend these educational HIT leadership development events, scholarship recipients extend a lasting impact on their end-user and patient communities.
